Printing

As a general rule, we recommend printing rather than copying if you have an electronic copy of your work. It is usually faster and the quality is almost always better. Please see Send Files and Bring Files for how to get your files to us for printing.

Making a PDF can save a lot of the hassle that people often get when they try to print certain types of files, e.g. Word documents. More information can be found on the Make a PDF page.

New Printer/Copiers now installed!

Our two new Xerox DocuColor 242 printer/copiers have now been installed. These offer several advantages over the equipment they have replaced:

• Up to 40 colour & 55 black pages per minute - get your prints faster
• EFI Fiery RIPs for faster processing with more accurate colour
• True 2400 x 2400 dpi resolution for sharper images & text
• Staple finishers for better document finishing

Best of all, these improvements will not cost you, the customer, any more!

Mono (black-only) printing

Our Ricoh 2090 black & white printer can produce up to 90 A4 copies per minute, as well as A3 and double sided copying. Our four colour printers can make up to 60 mono A4 prints per minute. Prices are on a sliding scale, starting at 8p each for 1-20 A4, dropping to 3.15p each for 1000 A4, with additional prints even cheaper still. Paper used is Xerox Recycled Supreme or Xerox Premier (PEFC non-recycled) 80gm. A range of thicker and tinted papers is available at additional cost; please see the supplies pricelist. Full colour printing

We have four colour laser printers. They produce between up to 40 full colour A4 copies per minute, as well as A3 and double sided printing. Prices start at 40p each for 1-10 A4 prints, and as low as 25p each for 200, with additional prints just 20p each. Paper used is Xerox Recycled Supreme or Xerox Premier (PEFC non-recycled) 80gm. 100gsm paper costs just 0.6p per sheet extra (60p per 100).
