Payments

Payment for work done at u-print.com is normally made on collection. We rarely insist on payment in advance or even a deposit. You may pay by cash (£ Sterling), personal cheque (up to the limit of your valid guarantee card, made payable to Materialise Ltd), Maestro, Solo, Visa, Mastercard and Visa Electron. We also accept company cheques and purchase orders by prior arrangement only.

University of Manchester Orders

For the University of Manchester, we accept external purchase orders not internal requisitions. You can find us on the Oracle system as Materialise Ltd but please do not send the order form to the Oxford Road address; either bring it to us in person; send it in the internal post to u-print.com, Barnes Wallis Building; or fax to extension 63268.

Remote orders

If you place an order by internet, mail or telephone and wish us to send the completed work to you, then you will appreciate that we have to be vigilant with respect to attempted fraud. We therefore accept the following methods of payment, with conditions where appropriate:

• Postal orders (£ Sterling) - payable to Materialise Ltd.
• Cheques - payable to Materialise Ltd. We must receive notification from our bank that the cheque has cleared before releasing the goods
• Credit & Debit cards - we accept Visa (but not Visa Electron), Mastercard, Maestro (ex-Switch) and Solo.
  Our preferred option is for you to post or fax a signed letter authorising a charge to be made to your card together with a photcopy of the front & back of the card and some form of photo I.D. e.g. passport, driving licence. Alternatively, you may give us details over the telephone (we can call you back if you prefer). Please provide the following information:
  
  • Cardholder's name
  • Cardholder's address
  • Delivery address (if different)
  • Card Type: Visa (but not Electron), Mastercard, Maestro, Solo
  • Card number
  • Expiry date
  • Issue Number for Maestro/Solo (if on card)
  • CVV2 security code (last 3 digits on signature strip)
  We reserve the right to reject any credit or debit card payment without disclosing our reasons.

Unfortunately, we do not accept payment on-line. Due to the low number of requests it is not cost-effective for us to offer such a service.

If you wish to make a remote payment and have someone collect the finished work on your behalf, then this must be approved by the Manager beforehand.
